The Jury's Inn Glasgow was built in 2003 and is the largest hotel in Scotland. It is situated in Glasgow city centre on Jamaica Street, next to the River Clyde. It is a large, modern building with 321 bedrooms, all of which have an electric heating and cooling system. There is a bar and a restaurant on the ground floor open to both guests and the public, and 10 conference / meeting rooms. Normal hours of work are 0700 hours to 2300 for seven days a week.

As will be demonstrated throughout this section of the website, the Jury's Inn Glasgow is a unique hotel with a highly motivated and energy conscious management team and staff. Even from our initial meeting with the hotel it became apparent our project would involve investigation into a wide range of topics; and contribute to the potential design of future energy saving methods and installation of building integrated renewable technologies.
